New campaign against oral cancer in Mumbai

Amidst changing lifestyles and increasing risk factors, head and neck cancer cases are rapidly increasing, with oral cancer accounting for the largest share. In this context, the “Two-Minute Action for Oral Cancer Protection” campaign launched by Merck Specialities Private Limited, “Act Against Oral Cancer,” is encouraging people to take just two minutes to screen themselves and be vigilant in time.

Supporting the initiative, Dr. Sevanti Limaye, Director of Medical & Precision Oncology, H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and renowned oncologist, has appealed to Mumbaikars to adopt the mantra of “Feel, See and Act”.

“Don’t ignore signs like persistent mouth ulcers, difficulty swallowing, a change in voice, or swelling in the neck,” says Dr. Limaye. “Early detection is the best way to prevent this disease.”

This campaign is not only raising awareness but also making people understand that this serious disease can be prevented in its early stages by regular self-examination and paying attention to early symptoms.
