In a move to make healthcare services more accessible, compassionate and convenient, Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai, has launched ‘Home Medicare’. An initiative led by Sister Dr. Shainy Joyce, the service aims to provide hospital-level specialised care to patients who are unable to step out of their homes, allowing them to receive treatment in the comfort of their own surroundings.
The service is particularly beneficial for senior citizens, patients with chronic illnesses, and those recovering after surgery or hospitalisation. It offers doctor consultations and follow-ups at home, along with nursing care, medication administration, wound and catheter care, ECG and blood sugar testing.
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation services are also provided to help patients improve their mobility, independence and overall quality of life.
The initiative further includes home sample collection for diagnostic tests and home delivery of medicines, making the entire healthcare journey more convenient for patients and their families.
Currently available in Mahim, Bandra, Khar and Santacruz, Home Medicare represents a compassionate effort to take healthcare beyond hospital walls and bring essential medical support directly to the doorsteps of those who need it most.
