Peshwa Wheat IPO sees huge demand, issue gets subscribed within hours

Amidst the busiest SME IPO week of September, Peshwa Wheat Limited has garnered tremendous investor interest on Day 1. The ₹53.52 crore BSE SME IPO received a strong response in the opening hours, while participation from qualified institutional buyers made the entire issue stand out.

The QIB portion received bids for approximately 87.14 lakh shares, compared to just 49,200 shares available, meaning the portion was subscribed approximately 177 times. The QIB category received bids worth approximately ₹88 crore. The company’s IPO is priced at ₹95–101 per share and comprises 52.99 lakh equity shares. The company’s shares are expected to be listed on the BSE SME platform on October 1, 2026.

Commenting on the current market sentiment, a market observer said, “The initial institutional demand for Peshwa Wheat reflects investor activity in the SME segment. The exceptional bidding in the QIB portion is the highlight of the issue.” Meanwhile, reports of GMP reaching ₹285–290 in the offline market also fueled market interest. However, GMP is an unofficial indicator and does not guarantee final listing performance.
