A phone call, a false claim of being a government official, and the fear of arrest. Sometimes, a person’s life can be turned upside down in a matter of minutes. Story TV’s new microdrama series, “Scam 2024 – The Digital Arrest Story,” presents this horrifying reality in a thrilling way. Actress Vidya Malvade of “Chak De! India” fame is entering the world of microdrama with this series.
In the series, Vidya will play Priya Sharma, whose life changes after becoming a victim of digital fraud. Pratik Sehajpal plays Vicky Mandal, the kingpin of the fraud network, and Vineet Raina plays suspended officer Raj Thakur. Produced by Small Town Boys and directed by Alok Sharma, this thriller is streaming on the Story TV app.
Vidya says of her character, “Priya could be anyone—our parents, neighbors, or even ourselves. She’s educated, alert, yet loses everything in one afternoon.” Meanwhile, according to Pratik, “These aren’t isolated thugs, but organized networks that break a person’s decision-making ability in a matter of seconds.”
Not only entertainment, this story also warns against frauds masquerading as digital arrests. The series is now available on the Story TV app.
