A unique confluence of literature, health and passion was witnessed when renowned author Chetan Bhagat launched Dr. Rajneesh Kant’s book ‘Chiropractor & Physiotherapist’ in Mumbai. Published by TS Publication, this book is not only a guide to providing information on chiropractic treatment but also an initiative to make this field more simple, accessible and understandable for the common people. The event became particularly interesting when Dr. Rajneesh Kant demonstrated the adjustment technique on Chetan Bhagat’s wrist live on stage. After the demonstration, Bhagat expressed relief and praised Dr. Kant’s technique.
This moment was more than a professional achievement for Dr. Kant. Sharing the stage with the author whose works he had spent many years reading and having his book released by him was emotionally special for him. Expressing his happiness, Dr. Kant said, “Since childhood, I have been reading Chetan Bhagat’s novels and watching films based on his stories. It is a privilege for me to share the stage with him today and have my book released by him.”
When passion becomes the purpose of life
Dr. Rajneesh Kant’s story is not just about a practicing physician, but also about making your life’s work your life’s purpose. Referring to the popular message from the movie ‘3 Idiots’, which encourages people to follow their heart and pursue their chosen field, he said, “I’m happy that I’m doing what my heart desires. Pursuing my passion and making a name for myself not only in India but internationally gives me immense satisfaction.”
This philosophy also defines the direction of his professional journey. He wants to work to increase awareness of chiropractic medicine and provide people with better information about how the body works, the potential causes of pain, and treatment options.
A key aspect of Dr. Rajneesh Kant’s work is his commitment to a “pain-free India.” He believes that pain shouldn’t simply be accepted as a part of everyday life. Accurate information, proper medical assessment, and understanding appropriate treatment options can make people more aware of their health. Putting this thought into words, he said, “A pain-free India is not just my dream, but a collective commitment for all of us.”
‘Chiropractor & Physiotherapist’ is designed to be easily understood by both general readers and those interested in the field. The book discusses the basic concepts of chiropractic treatment, clinical assessment of patients, and various aspects of spinal health and treatment. Its ten chapters cover topics such as care for athletes and those leading an active lifestyle, precautions for senior citizens, common medical misconceptions, patient awareness, self-care, clinic management, and collaboration for better patient care.
The book also mentions the RKM, or Rajneesh Kant Method. Dr. Kant presents it as an advanced method developed based on his professional experience. While this first edition focuses on the introduction and practical aspects of chiropractic treatment, future books are expected to discuss his individual techniques in detail.
Dr. Kant also shares his perspective on the historical and cultural roots of manual healing in India. Citing the traditional story of Lord Krishna and Kubja, he sees a connection between Indian narratives and the broader idea of improving posture. This is his personal perspective. The documented history of modern chiropractic medicine dates back to Daniel David Palmer in the United States, who began performing chiropractic adjustments in 1895 and founded the Palmer School and Cure in 1897. Thus, the book offers an opportunity to understand the history of modern medicine alongside traditional ideas.
The presence of transgender spiritual leader and Jagadguru Mahamandaleshwar Himangi Sakhi Ji at the book launch ceremony made the event special. Renowned physiotherapist Professor Dr. Ali Irani also blessed Dr. Rajneesh Kant. The presence of these distinguished personalities made the occasion even more memorable for Dr. Kant and his team.
