New buzz in the power sector: Om Power IPO ready to open

Om Power Transmission Limited, a power transmission infrastructure company, is now poised to make its first foray into the capital markets. The company’s initial public offering (IPO) opens on April 9, 2026, and will be available to investors until April 13, with anchor investor bidding completed on April 8.

The company, which has established itself through engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, is embarking on a new expansion. With a price band of ₹166 to ₹175 per share and a lot size of 85 shares, this IPO has the potential to attract both retail and institutional investors.

This issue, valued at approximately ₹150 crore, includes both a fresh issue and an offer for sale, with the company planning to further strengthen its business. The funds raised will be used to purchase new machinery, repay debt, meet working capital, and meet corporate needs. According to company chairman Kalpesh Dhanjibhai Patel, this IPO will not only provide financial strength but also open the way for increased participation in large and complex projects. Consequently, this issue could become a key link in the power sector’s growth story.
