Holy Family Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Bandra (West) in Mumbai has launched its new initiative, “Home Medicare,” taking a significant step towards bringing healthcare services to the doorstep. Patients will now have access to comprehensive medical services, including doctor visits, nursing services, physiotherapy, home sample collection, and medication delivery, directly at their doorstep. This service brings relief, especially to patients who find it difficult to frequently visit a hospital or who prefer treatment in the comfort of their homes.
Honorary Consultant Dr. Russel Pinto (MBBS, MS – General Surgery, FMAS) launched the ‘Home Medicare’ service. During the ceremony, the dedicated mobile van was blessed by the Parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Church. This moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in community-centered healthcare.
This service will be especially beneficial for homebound patients, the elderly, those recovering from surgery, and those suffering from chronic illnesses. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Russell Pinto said that many patients today find it inconvenient to travel to the hospital despite the need for constant medical monitoring. The ‘Home Medicare’ service ensures the same quality, safety, and professional care that Holy Family Hospital is known for, even outside the hospital walls.
With the launch of “Home Medicare,” Holy Family Hospital has made it clear that quality healthcare isn’t limited to the confines of a hospital. Now, medical assistance will be more accessible, personalized, and humane, delivered directly to the home—where treatment and comfort are available.
This initiative has emerged as a symbol of new direction and trust in the health sector of Mumbai.
