With the arrival of monsoon, the risk of dengue, malaria, fever, and other infectious diseases has increased in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). In response, Star Health & Allied Insurance has strengthened its Monsoon Health Support campaign. According to the company, the use of home healthcare services for fever and infectious diseases has tripled in MMR in FY 2025-26, while virtual OPD services are also becoming increasingly popular.
Dheeraj Goyal, Business Head (Mumbai MMR & Goa), Star Health, said that timely medical advice can prevent a serious situation. Policyholders can avail assistance with home healthcare and scheduled hospitalization by calling 7676 905 905 under the ‘Talk to Star’ service. Non-policyholders can also consult with specialist doctors online through the Star Health customer app, offering a 24×7 free virtual OPD. The company has appealed to families, especially those with children and senior citizens, not to take persistent fever lightly and to seek timely medical advice.
