The Die & Mould India International Exhibition, being held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, is not just an exhibition but has emerged as a glimpse into the future of the Indian tooling industry. Organised by Tagma India, the event will see over 350 exhibitors showcasing advanced technologies like CNC, automation and additive manufacturing.
During the interview, Devraya M. Sheregar, President of Tagma India, said, “This is not just an exhibition, but a platform for partnerships and new ideas, where the direction of the industry is determined.” Manoj Kolhatkar, referring to the auto sector, said, “India’s 35 percent import dependence, coupled with its growing production capacity, is a huge opportunity for us.”
F.R. Singhvi, while describing skill development as the biggest need, said, “Skilled human resources are the real strength of the industry.”
DMI 2026 is proving to be a strong step towards making India a global tooling hub by giving new impetus to ‘Make in India’ through innovation, skilling and collaboration.
