Rishabhayan 02’ concludes successfully in Mumbai with historic release of 1,111 texts

The three-day international conference “Rishabhayan 02,” dedicated to the life, philosophy, and civilizational contributions of King Rishabhdev, concluded successfully at the Kora Kendra Ground No. 4, Borivali (West ). Organized by the Labdhi Vikram Janseva Trust, the event was attended by scholars, saints, policymakers, industrialists, and over 100,000 citizens, giving new impetus to India’s ancient knowledge tradition.
Through historical and archaeological evidence presented at the conference, it was established that King Rishabhdev was the founding father of Indian civilization. Speakers explained that concepts such as entrepreneurship, sustainable development, vocational training, and skill-based education are not Western concepts, but are rooted in India’s own civilizational tradition. It was also reiterated that our country, “Bharat,” is named after King Rishabhdev’s son, Chakravarti Emperor Bharata, who is mentioned in the Srimad Bhagavata Purana.
The program began with a grand procession, after which Jain Gachchadhipati Yashovarmasuriji Maharaj delivered blessings and a spiritual discourse. Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Dharma Parishad and released the book ‘Rishabhayan’. On this occasion, many saints including 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Swami Rajendra Anandgiri Ji, His Holiness Kothari Shri Dharmanand Swami Maharaj, Dandi Swami Jitendra Saraswati Maharaj, His Holiness Mahant Dayalpuri Maharaj, Shantigiri Maharaj, and Guru Mauli Dindori presented their views on the life of King Rishabhdev.
On the second day, MoUs were signed with academic institutions. Scholars from over 150 institutions in India and abroad presented research papers on topics such as Asi, Masi, Kasi, trade and commerce, Brahmi script, mathematics, 72 skills, and 64 arts. Union Commerce Minister Shri Piyush Goyal was also present at the event.
A major highlight of the event was the historic release of 1,111 texts, including manuscripts dating back 200 to 500 years, held under the auspices of the Mumbai Jain Sangh organization. A grand stage and numerous exhibition stalls dedicated to Indian art showcased ancient crafts, business practices, and interactive demonstrations.
Maharashtra’s Minister of Culture and IT, Mr. Ashish Shelar, graced the closing ceremony. He stated that “Rishabhayan 02” is not just an event, but an ideological movement that connects future generations to the roots of Indian culture. This historic event concluded with cultural performances and a dialogue on indigenous skills.
